Having achieved a First Class degree in English and Related Literature from the University of York, I am a motivated and organised writer at the beginning of my journalistic career.
I am highly adaptable and my writing is accurate, succinct and readable, enabling me to write for a wide variety of publications, both in print and online.
Reliable and determined, I earned a place on the Mark Allen Group's graduate scheme and was placed in the role of Assistant Editor of Choir & Organ. Following a period of furlough leave as a result of the pandemic, I was kept on at MAG but repositioned as Assistant Editor of Music Teacher and Drama & Theatre magazines.
Along side my full-time job, I am studying for the NTCJ Level 4 Magazine Journalism diploma and regularly take on freelance opportunities.
In my freelance work, I like to write about mental health, education, culture, politics, environment, and lifestyle.
